I would buy GreenCloud for a tested regional route or a worthwhile Ryzen/EPYC offer. I would not buy it only because a nearby city and a large RAM number look good on the order page.

You need one guaranteed CPU generation, managed administration or a route you have not tested.
GreenCloud sits in an interesting part of the VPS market. It is priced like a budget host, but the catalogue is much broader than a single bargain node: KVM, Windows, NVMe, Ryzen, EPYC and several regional product lines are all part of the offer. That makes it useful for people who want to keep a few small services close to their users without jumping to a large public cloud bill.
GreenCloud is one of the few budget providers where choosing a nearby city can materially change the usefulness of the deal. I would not pick Singapore, Tokyo or Hong Kong just because the label looks close on a map. I would check the route from the users, APIs or operators that will actually reach the server.
Good starting points for Asia-facing services, but compare latency, packet loss and the plan's APAC traffic allowance.
Useful for some China-adjacent routes, but IP reputation and cross-border routing deserve a pre-order check.

The most useful community evidence is not a single headline score. A LowEndTalk review reported E5-2698 v4 nodes running Docker workloads such as Mastodon, Nextcloud and Rails apps with CPU steal reported at zero during the author's use. A later community post reported Geekbench 6 scores of 1,452 single-core and 7,358 multi-core on a different GreenCloud VPS. Treat those as independent samples, not a guarantee: storage, CPU generation and oversubscription can change by node.
What does this mean?The sample shows that GreenCloud can deliver serious compute and disk performance on an EPYC VDS. It does not justify buying a Budget KVM plan as if it had the same host CPU or contention level. Choose the product family first, then use benchmarks from that family.
These are independent samples from specific nodes and dates, not a controlled comparison of every GreenCloud product line.
Choose GreenCloud when regional placement and price-per-resource matter. For a small API, automation worker, VPN, staging server or self-hosted panel, the catalogue is unusually flexible. If the workload is latency-sensitive, run MTR or the provider's location test before paying for a long billing cycle. If I were buying for a small Asia-facing service, I would choose the closest sensible region first, then favor a Ryzen or EPYC plan when the workload has regular CPU bursts. I would not pay for more RAM to compensate for an untested route.

My GreenCloud decisionI would buy GreenCloud when a tested regional route or a Ryzen/EPYC promotion solves a specific deployment problem. I would skip it when I only want the cheapest RAM figure, cannot test the route, or need managed operations.
